In 1891, Comic Cuts ran a number of short tramp strips by Roland Hill, Oliver Veal and others, some of them in excruciatingly poor taste. Here, a derelict demands a masher hand over his clothes, “and if I don’t ‘ave ‘em in two ticks I puts yer lights out – see!” Artist: Oliver Veal.
