The adventures of eccentric inventor Professor Radium, drawn by Tom Wilkinson, ran in Puck from 1904 to 1916, generally – as here – on the back page. British Puck had no connection with the American satirical magazine of the same title (1871–1918). Nor was Professor Radium related, as far as been hitherto disclosed, to the like-named villain in some of the early Batman comic books and movies.
