Leaflet. Advert for the first number of The Kinema Comic. [London: Amalgamated Press. April 1920].
This promotional flyer seems to suggest that the new weekly Kinema Comic would consist of undiluted “funniosity”, whereas in fact, like its companion paper Film Fun, it basically conformed to the British comics standard (half serious adventure story/serial, half comic strip). Like Film Fun, its size was unusual for Amalgamated Press comics: 24 black-and-white pages, approximately A4 size, for 1½ pence (1½d), soon to be tuppence (2d). See also H20b.
